We offer voluntary buyback of jewellery originally purchased from Gayatri Jewellers, subject to inspection. Buyback is separate from returns, exchanges and remedies for defective or incorrect items.

Gold weight and valuation

Your invoice net gold weight is our starting reference, excluding wax, thread and other non-gold materials. We inspect for wear, alteration and missing gold. If inspection raises concerns, we pause and agree on qualified testing with you before proceeding.

We use our store's gold rate for the same purity on the day inspection is completed. A commercial deduction of 10–15% applies to the assessed current gold-only value, depending on wear and tear after inspection.

Buyback value = assessed eligible net gold weight × our same-purity gold rate on the inspection-completion date × 85–90%, depending on the quoted deduction.

Original GST, making margin and fixed charges are not included in the gold-only buyback value and are not deducted again from that base. The commercial deduction is not a claim of physical melting loss.

Your approval

We share the assessed weight, purity, gold rate, deduction percentage and final payout for your approval. We obtain your approval before melting or destructive testing. Where agreed testing is needed, we confirm the final quote with you before completing the buyback.

Transport

You pay the gold-safe collection cost disclosed before collection. If you decline the quote, you also pay the disclosed return-delivery cost. Bringing jewellery to our shop avoids courier charges. Do not send any parcel without our team's approved instructions.

Payout

Payout is by bank transfer or UPI within 3 business days after you accept the final quote and any agreed testing is complete.
